New Craven Hall Leeds
First event filmed at New Craven Hall Leeds so didn’t really know what to expect. I had researched the venue and seen some beautiful photos but could it really be on an industrial estate?? Granted its not the normal place where you would find a wedding venue but what a gem. Once you get past the steel security gates its like being in another world, it has a very rustic feel to it which I love and lots of soft warm tones and glowing lights. Yes its not your normal wedding venue but I’m finding more and more couples are searching for something that is out of the ordinary and this certainly fits the bill. The staff there were excellent and super helpful which always makes things easier.
A Jewish Wedding in Leeds
The day started in a Leeds city centre hotel not too far from Craven Hall, lots of action and a full room where everyone was getting ready. We headed out for the venue shortly after 3pm and arrived just as the first guests came. I really loved the laid back and fairly informal approach Diana & Gary had. Jewish weddings tend to be quite formal but this was a little different and a break from shooting at the more lavish city hotels. The tisch was cosy with all Gary’s family and friends around and the Bedekken followed just after which was held outside in the glorious summer sunshine. The excitement on both their faces was infectious and all the guests who were their shared in this beautiful moment.
Let the party begin
After the ceremony Diana & Gary headed out for some photos and on their return went straight into some lively dancing. Its fair to say this is probably one of my most favorite times during a Jewish wedding, there is some much energy and you really do take your life into your own hands when filming! The speeches were so good to the extent that I had lots to choose from for inclusion into the highlight video, it was a contrast between highly emotional moments and fits of laughter.
At the end of the night
As the night wore on the couple finished with their first dance and then the dance floor filled as the band went into full throttle. A fab wedding with a beautiful couple.
